This is your typical Starbucks I've never had a problem with the staff. They have a cute little patio outside and they usually always have the items I order in stock. I even had one of the employees going the back and grab me one of the protein boxes which I love out from the back and that was nice that they took the time to make a customer happy. something that not too many people care about these days I usually get the frozen Frappuccino caramel or the shaken green tea lemonade both are great options and their blonde roast coffee is not to pass up. I enjoy coming here to get my caffeine fix and will be back!

Not your typical Starbucks. Let's just say that I live two minutes away from this Starbucks location and I drive over twenty minutes when I want an americano or a latte. Since moving here six months ago... I've tried this Starbucks numerous times due to its proximity to me hoping for a better experience, but each time I leave disappointed. The staff of this location is poorly trained (my drinks are consistently wrong) and are unpleasant. A smile goes a long way in my book, folks! But, they're in short supply here. The building is too small and cluttered. Many times with boxes (back stock) piled to the ceiling from the entryway to the counter, forcing people to lineup outside the building. Also, drinks are made slowly an many times out of order. There also seems to be a problem with their ability to keep soy milk in stock. On three different occasions they were out. On one occasion the barista went ahead and made my latte with regular milk without asking me! Ummm... When someone's allergic to dairy you CAN'T do that. Neither the barista or the manager had an apology for it. Only excuses. There are waaay better options for your morning coffee fix!

Love this Starbucks!!! I am a frequent Starbucks drinker and have a complex drink and they always get it right on. The morning staff is great and always makes me walk out with a smile. Gail is the best!!

Yesterday I stopped in to get coffees for myself and others waiting at my niece's baptism. I patiently waited in a 10 minute line and when I was finally able to order I was treated like complete shit by the cashier named Amber. I ordered two water bottles and three coffee drinks. When I placed my order for the two grande pike place coffees with half and half Amber told me that she'd leave room for me to put cream in myself. Since I had to carry five objects I asked if the barista who poured my coffee would PLEASE put the cream in. God forbid I ask such a daunting task! She stared at me, rolled her eyes, and scanned my iPhone gift card without saying even one word. Surprised by her voiceless response to my request I asked her if there was a problem. She still said nothing and did not even offer me a receipt. I didn't even think to ask for a receipt because I was so dumbfounded by her attitude. So I proceeded down to the waiting area. Amber brought me my grande drink and the barista preparing drinks gave me my iced coffee. I watched other drinks get served as I patiently waited for me second grande pike place coffee. After about 5 minutes I asked the male barrister about my last drink. All of sudden I hear Amber from across the store say that she already gave it to "her" - she didn't even acknowledge me. Then I reminded her that I ordered two. She then said that she didn't charge me and would have to if I wanted it. So, yes, I waited even longer for my last coffee and for the store to charge me for my coffee that the angry cashier seemed to not even want to sell me since I asked for cream. And, no, it's not my fault for not realIzing that she didn't charge me enough - I didn't have a receipt to look at. I've never been treated like this by a Starbucks employee, or any employee of a restaurant for that matter. I left feeling very angry but at least I had my three coffees and two water bottles.

Service is always quick and friendly! I use the Starbucks app to pay for my drinks and they are patient and understanding when the technology (often) fails. I have seen the staff handle some pretty rude & obnoxious customers with grace and professionalism. I do wish they had a drive thru and a more efficient parking lot.

The parking situation is horrible and the rude blonde taking the orders was even worst. I ordered a coffee with 3 extra expresso shots and the blonde told me "its gonna be expensive". I didn't ask her about the price, i just wanted my order the way i ordered it. Being black, i took offense from a minimum wage worker assuming i couldn't afford to pay $8 dollars for a cup a coffee. I knew how much it was gonna cost and i didn't care. I'm one of those people who never cares what ignorant judgements people make about someone based on the color of your skin but a barista being rude is a little ridiculous when all your looking for is coffee and not some dingbat's judgement to go along with it.

The parking lot is frequently full. They can't help that, they have to play the hand they were dealt. What they could help is the staff's attitude. I am here at least once per week, and can only speak about the morning staff, which is pretty sour -- with one exception, one friendly person that regularly works mornings. Not the staff that I am used to seeing from other coffee places in the city. This is one of several coffee places on this street, try others.

THis starbucks is super close to where I stay, there is a ton of parking and lots of space. I never had a problem here, fast service and good quality. I would recommend this one over the Village starbucks as there is more parking and a chiller vibe.

This is definitely the worst starbucks I have ever been to. And I've been to a lot. I end up settling on going to this one when I'm in town visiting my parents because it's so close but from now on I will just drive further after consistently awful service. The last time I went in (July 4th, 2015 around 11:30 am)-- which will truly be my last time, I watched two register people ring customers up for at least 15 minutes with absolutely no smile, no hello. They just stared people down and said, 'What can I get for you' in the most lackluster tone imaginable. I nearly took video of it because the depressed zombie like stares they were giving people were almost comical. I can fully understand taking a while to get your drink, being understaffed, or even making a mistake if you make it right. If you're trying and mistakes happen, I get it. I've had plenty of customer service jobs and they aren't always a picnic. But the attitude of 'I could care less about you' towards customers I see 90% of the time I have been there is just inexcusable. I've seen way better service at starbucks in horrible neighborhoods. They stay in business because they are the only coffee game in the neighborhood. I'm sure as soon as another well run place comes along the business will plummet. Honestly if anyone can get a well run espresso/ coffee place up and running in grosse pointe you will have a lot of grateful and loyal people.

Coffee is essential when you have to sit in rush hour traffic every morning before making it to work on time. It is even more essential when you work somewhere that very rarely gives you a moment to eat or have a break. I have to travel from Chesterfield to Harper Woods everyday for work. Plenty of other people have it worse, I know. I'm happy to have my job. However, after skipping half of the freeway traffic ... I really wish Harper had a Starbucks on it. In order for me to get my Starbucks fix, I drive a few miles out of the way to to this location. Parking is a mess. Sure, there's spots. Not any empty ones, however. I understand how Grosse Pointe Woods is. I know that they just *love* their small and cramped parking lots but boy, this lot needs some more room! Be careful leaving and backing out. I can guarantee someone is trying to speed and rush out of there. Trust me, it's happened to me! As for the service .... meh. Never was greeted with a smile or hello. I understand it being early and not wanting to deal with people .... but it is a retail and customer service job. Would it really hurt to smile? No. Guess what? Smiling is free. Give it a try! I ordered a salted caramel mocha today (so original, not!) and it was hardly hot. Thankfully I was able to heat it up at work. Not a big deal but it gives you the idea that not drink is made well. I'll probably be back, but that's only because it's the closest Starbucks to my job.

So, this is a chain coffee shop that has a high turn over. I have hit or miss drinks here. Sometimes the staff is new and can't properly make a starbucks double shot on ice. Even had a barista point me to the cream and sugar station and say " all I would do is add cream" Well obviously "all you would do" is NOT add cream. Grrr. One rude experience and several mediocre experiences later this is NOT my go to coffee shop. Plus there is no drive thru. Blah, I would rather drink coffee from home or take my business elsewhere.

They recently remodeled the store at this location...while it's much less cluttered than the previous setup, it's smaller, with fewer seats and no more cushy armchairs. In addition to closing too early (10p weekdays, 11p Friday/Saturday), sometimes the staff rushes you out so they can get a head start on shutting the store down (unacceptable). Thankfully there's another store a few miles away, which unfortunately has not been added to the decor upgrade rotation. But what they lack in cushy store upgrades, they make up for in customer service. Rule of thumb with any Starbucks store: when it comes to exceptional service, it depends on the day.
